Bakersville Emporium (formerly Anita’s Antique Shop) will be opening its doors soon at the corner of Hwy 226 & N Mitchell Avenue with a Grand Opening planned for May 1st.
Anita, aware of the abundance of talented craftsmen within the Town of Bakersville, decided to open the Emporium to provide the artists with a venue for showcasing and marketing their exciting work.
Bakersville Emporium will be carrying fine handmade crafts such as dolls, quilts, jewelry, workworks, baskets, soaps, candles, gourds, pottery, as well as locally made preserves, grits, cornmeal, honey, and dried mushrooms. Also available will be “Bakersville, NC” t-shirts, caps, tote bags, mugs, note cards and much more. There will be a year round “Christmas Corner” with hundreds of handmade ornaments on display along with other locally made Christmas items.
You will also find beautiful antiques, doll houses and miniatures at the Emporium.
